TENTHMIL Best of the Press 2009 Student Journalism Awards

TENTHMIL would like to show its support for aspiring writers and journalists by sponsoring the TENTHMIL Best of the Press 2009 Student Journalism Awards.

***Attention: TENTHMIL has pushed back the deadline for the “TENTHMIL 2009 Best of the Press Student Journalism Awards.” The new deadline for all entries is March 20, 2010. The contest, for writing that promotes alternative energy, habitat restoration and environmental activism, is open to all student journalists.  All inquiries can be directed to Stewart, at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). - Eligibility: Anyone 18 years of age or older, who is a registered member of TENTHMIL, and whose original work was published in a college or university-associated newspaper during calendar 2009 (Dated Jan 1 to Dec 31, 2009) may submit to the contest.
- Theme: The environment. The judges will be particularly interested in investigative pieces, and writing on the subject areas of renewable energy and ecological restoration.
- Top prize: $1,000; second place prize: $500; third place prize: $250.
- Deadline: March 20, 2010
