What’s a Pooktre?

Pooktre takes the art of “tree shaping” to a whole new level.

Beyond the whimsical and the wonderful, this is art that’s also functional - some of these pieces allow you to have your wood and still let it grow! Artists Peter “Pook” Cook and Becky Northey start pieces in their garden, and then can arrange to transplant them for customers once they’re ready. It’s easier if you live in Australia, though, where they are.

Some pieces are harvested, like the mirror below. While those are easier to ship halfway round the world, we think there’s something special about having a piece of living art.
