Video - Acid Test: The Global Challenge of Ocean Acidification

Narrated by Sigourney Weaver, “Acid Test: The Global Challenge of Ocean Acidification”, is a revealing documentary exposing the global crisis of rising ocean acidification.

Ocean Acidification is often referred to as the “other carbon problem” - with rising CO2 levels, the ocean water becomes more acidic and literally dissolves the shells of ocean life from giant clams to tiny plankton. As it gets worse, this will disrupt the entire food chain of the ocean - and the planet.

One startling fact presented in the film is the high rate it’s been growing at: “Since the industrial revolution, ocean acidity has increased by thirty percent.”
