Mark Langan - Recycled Cardboard anyone?

Using his art to inspire others to ask themselves the question “What can I do to help?”, Mark Langan believes that every little bit counts.

At the forefront of the recycling movement, Mark creates beautiful, inspiring pieces from nothing more than corrugated cardboard, non-toxic glue, a little bit of elbow work and a whole lot of talent. His work is intriguing and unique not only because of its composition but also for its message…reduce, reuse, recycle!

Mark, who hails from Cleveland, Ohio in the suburb of Brunswick Hills believes It would be naïve’ of him to claim that he’s making a huge dent in reducing waste material going into landfills. “It is something rather than nothing,” he says.
Interestingly enough, Mark has managed to take that message not just to the average American but also straight to the heart of businesses across the country.  His work is commissioned by paper and corrugated manufacturers, packaging companies, recycling firms, green industries, organizations and related events.  His artwork currently adorns the boardrooms and lobbies from small to prominent firms throughout the U.S. Reproducing corporate logos is one of his specialties and knowing that every time his work is seen his message gets closer to the folks who have the power to make real change is the best praise he receives.

Mark Langan is obviously passionate about his work, and takes the attitude: “If you like this just wait, the best is yet to come!” We can’t wait.

We’ve picked a few pieces to highlight here but if you’d like to see the full range of his beautiful and meaningful work visit: http://www.langanart.com/

  • Amazing and talented!  Mark, there’s a wonderful art gallery in Portland that only displays recycled art.  Sorry, I don’t have the name but I know it’s on Pearl St.  I’ll try to contact my daughter and get the name for you.  Anyway, you so should be in that gallery.  Love your work.

  • Pretty amazing stuff. What a talent with a heart!
